Skoda Auto India has announced that the all-new Slavia compact sedan will be launched in March 2022. In November last year, this car has introduced to the world and the company is going to make this car available in 3 variants – Active, Ambition and Style. Skod Auto India started taking bookings for this car in November 2021 itself so that the company can clearly know how much enthusiasm the customers are about this car in the Indian market.
The interior of this sedan gets a fresh concept
This new car will replace the Rapid in the Skoda line-up. To increase the heat in the segment, the company has given information about the photos, sketches and some features of the brand new Slavia. The premium midsize segment sedan has a fresh concept interior that is being see in all new Skoda cars with a new design. This includes special round air vents, rigid decorative stripes in contrast colors and many such new parts. The Slavia is the second car to introduced under the India 2.0 project after the Kushk SUV.
It will compete with Honda City
In the Indian market, the new Slavia will compete with sedans like Honda City, Hyundai Verna and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. The Skoda Slavia is being manufactured at the Pune plant and is built on the MQB-A0-IN platform. The company has specially designed this platform for Indian roads. The wide Skoda grille has given at the front of the car. Which surrounds the entire front, apart from this, L-shaped daytime running lights have given with sharp-sized headlights. The new Slavia has built on a coupe-like design and gets special badges along with a longer wheelbase.

1-Litre TSI Petrol and 1.5-Litre TSI Petrol Engine
Skoda Auto India is going to offer 1-litre TSI petrol and 1.5-litre TSI petrol engines with the new Slavia. The car’s less powerful three-cylinder petrol engine producing 113 bhp power and 175 Nm of peak torque, the company is going to offer 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox options with this engine. The car’s powerful 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine makes 150 Bhp of power and 250 Nm of peak torque. The company has equipped this engine with 6-speed manual and 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. The car has given many safety features like 6 airbags, ISOFIX, TPMS, hill hold control, ABS with EBD and ESC. The estimated ex-showroom price of the new Slavia is Rs.10-14 lakhs.
