Actually, one year has been completed today of the vaccination campaign run to defeat the corona epidemic. On this day, 16 January 2021, the vaccination of health workers and frontline workers started in the country. Since then, the process of giving corona vaccines continues. So far, 157 crore doses of the vaccine have been administered in the country. However, it will still take a long time to vaccinate the entire population.

Status of vaccination in India.

It is a matter of little concern that there is 8 percent of the population in India, which has not received a single vaccine so far. At the same time, 31 percent of the population is such, who have not yet received both the vaccines. Expressing happiness on this occasion, BJP National President JP Nadda tweeted, he wrote that more than 156 crore vaccine doses have been administered in India so far. Of which 99 crore doses have been given in rural India. 70% of our adult population is fully vaccinated. More than three crore adolescent girls have received their first dose since the program started. India has led the fight against the corona pandemic.

Corona Vaccination phase in the last one year.

The vaccination campaign was started on 16 January 2021. So far 87 crore population of 18+ in the country has got the first dose. That is, about 92 percent of the population has got the first dose. At the same time, a population of about 65 crores has taken both the doses, that is, about 70 percent of the people have got both the doses. So far, about three and a half crore children in the age group of 15 to 18 years have been vaccinated in the country. That is, about 41 percent. The second dose is yet to be administered to these children.

Start of booster dose from 10th January.

Booster doses have been started since last Monday. About three lakh people are to be given booster doses, out of which 38 lakh booster doses have been administered. That is, about 13 percent of the people have been given booster doses.

Still a challenge for India.

Due to the high population, still 33 percent of the population in the country has not been vaccinated. The total population of the country is 138 crores, out of which only 90 crores have received the first dose i.e. 48 crore people are yet to be vaccinated.
