In which it has found that this vaccine is capable of producing antibodies that eliminate alpha and delta variants.

In a study by the National Institute of Health (NIH) of America, Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin hasfound to be very effective. The NIH says that the Covaxin ‘effectively neutralizes’ both the alpha and delta variants of Covid-19.
The NIH said, ‘Two studies on the blood serum of people who have received Covaxin show that the antibody produced by the vaccine effectively neutralizes the alpha and delta variants of SARS-CoV-2. This vaccine of Bharat Biotech is made in collaboration with ICMR.
The Alpha variant was first found in the UK while the Delta variant was first found in India. Vaccine manufacturers recently submitted Phase III data to an expert panel. In the third phase trial, the vaccine has found to be 78% effective in cases of mild-moderate symptoms of corona and 100% on severe cases.
The NIH said that the vaccine is 70% effective even in asymptomatic cases and is completely safe. The NIH has described the vaccine shot as highly effective against Corona. However, the interim results of the vaccine have not published anywhere yet.
America’s Moderna Vaccine has received approval for emergency use.
In India, Oxford’s Covishield and Covaccine are being given to people under the vaccine drive from January 16. In April, Russia’s Sputnik also got approval for emergency use. At the same time, America’s Moderna Vaccine has got approval for emergency use.
In the coming days, Pfizer and Ahmedabad-based company Zydus Cadila can also get approval. If approved, Zydus Cadila will be India’s second indigenous anti-Covid vaccine after Covaxin.
Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin has also been in controversies a few days ago.
A viral post on social media claimed that cow’s calf serum has used in the vaccine. However, the Health Ministry had rejected any such claims. The government had said that facts have tampered with in these posts and they have been presented in a wrong way.
