The CEO of Serum Institute of India, Adar Poonawalla, has announced the reduction of the vaccine price. In a tweet message, Adar Poonawalla has given information about reducing the price. Adar Poonawalla has said that in view of the interest of the people, they are ready to reduce the cost of the vaccine and now the price of Covishield vaccine is reduced from Rs 400 to Rs 300.
Poonawalla has said that this will allow more people to be vaccinated.

The price of covaxin is Rs 600 per dose for the state governments
Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech has fixed the price of its Covid-19 vaccine covaxin at Rs 600 per dose for state governments and Rs 1,200 per dose for private hospitals. The Pune-based Serum Institute of India (SII) has announced a price of Rs 400 per dose for the state governments of its Covid-19 vaccine ‘Covishield’ and Rs 600 per dose for private hospitals. Both vaccines are available to the central government at the rate of Rs 150 per dose.
