Announcement of complete lockdown in Karnataka and Goa
To overcome the second wave of Corona, the Government of Karnataka has announced the entire lockdown in the entire state on Friday. As per the order, the lockdown will be implemented from 6 am on May 10, which will end after 6 am on May 24. During this time everything will be closed.
328 patients succumbed in 24 hours in Karnataka
On Thursday, 49,058 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in Karnataka. With this, the figure of total infected increased to 17,90,104. At the same time, the Health Department said that after the death of 328 patients of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. The number of people who lost their lives due to this infection in the state increased to 17,212. Only in Bangalore urban area, 23,706 new cases of infection were reported, while 139 patients died.

15 day lockdown in Goa
Shortly before this, a statewide lockdown has been announce in Goa as well. Although the government has given it the name of curfew. According to the order, there will be strict curfew in the state for the next 15 days from May 9, to May 23. During this time only necessary services including medical supplies will be allowed, and shops of surprises will be able to open from 7 am to 1 pm. Apart from this, permission has been given for takeaway orders of restaurants from 7 am to 7 pm.
Ban on wedding ceremony in Goa
Goa CM Pramod Sawant said in another decision that now Corona Negative Report will be necessary for entry in Goa. Without this, no one will given entry in the state. Apart from this, all social programs including weddings will be ban during the curfew. CM said that such events are contributing to the spread of the virus. This is the reason that Goa recorded the highest ever 3,869 new cases of Covid-19 on Thursday, while 58 deaths occurred.
