Meanwhile, Pfizer company of America is ready to provide 50 million vaccines to India this year but it wants a big relaxation in some regulatory conditions including compensation.

When will you get vaccines?

Pfizer has said that one crore vaccines will made available to India in July. One crore in August and two crore in September and one crore in October. The company has said that it will only talk to the Government of India and will have to pay the vaccines to Pfizer India on behalf of the Government of India.

So far, 147 million doses of Pfizer vaccine have given worldwide.

The Government of India will have to do the work of distributing the purchased vaccine domestically. The source has said that Pfizer has also placed a condition of agreement with the Government of India for the supply of the vaccine to India and has sent its documents. According to Pfizer, it has entered into compensation agreements with 116 countries, including the US. So far, 147 million doses of Pfizer vaccine have given worldwide. At present, no significant side effects have reported from anywhere.

India may get a dose of Moderna vaccine next year

At the same time, a dose of Moderna vaccine may be available in India next year. For this, she is in talks with Cipla and other Indian pharmaceutical companies. That Moderna has told the Indian authorities that it does not have vaccine stocks outside of the US in 2021. Cipla is understood to have shown interest in purchasing five crore vaccine supplements from Moderna in 2022.

Let me tell you that some high-level meetings were held last week under the chairmanship of the Cabinet Secretary regarding the availability of vaccines in the global and domestic markets. Officers of the Ministry of External Affairs, NITI Aayog, Department of Biotechnology, Law Ministry and Health Ministry were present.

200 million vaccine doses have given in the country so far

Two vaccines Covishield and Covaxin are currently being use in the vaccination campaign in the country. India has also approved Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine but currently its supply is very limited. Since the vaccination campaign started in mid-January this year, 200 million vaccine doses have been given so far.
