Stock Market Updates : The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex jumped 393 points on Thursday due to gains in major stocks like Infosys, TCS and HDFC Bank amid positive signals from global markets. The BSE Sensex based on 30 company shares closed at 52,699 points, up 392.92 points, or 0.75 per cent. On the other hand, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) closed at 15,790.45 points, up 103.50 points, or 0.66 percent.

Infosys was the biggest gainer among the stocks included in the BSE Sensex, rising over three per cent. After this, shares of TCS, Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech and Asian Paints also registered gains. In contrast, the shares of Reliance Industries, Bharti Airtel, Power Grid and State Bank declined.
Sensex has also recovered sharply from the fall due to sharp correction in the stocks of IT companies.
