Stock Market Updates: On the day of May futures expiry, the stock market witnessed a slump and at the end of the business, the market managed to close in the green mark. The Nifty recorded a record closing in Thursday’s trade. While the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex ended 97.70 points, or 0.17 per cent higher at 51,115.22 at the end of trading. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty closed at 15337.85 with a strength of 36.40 points, or 0.24 per cent.
These shares closed on the green mark.
On Thursday, shares of Shree Cement, ACBI, Baz Auto, Kotak Bank and Tech Mahindra closed on the green mark. On the other hand, shares of HDFC, Bajaj Finance, ONGC, Bharti Airtel and IOC closed at the red mark.
Condition of sectoral index
Talking about sectoral index, all sectors except FMCG, Realty and Pharma closed on the green mark. These include public sector banks and metal banks, private banks, finance services, auto, pharma, IT and media.
