1. Pink

One of the most surprising hits, which was made on a budget of over Rs 20 crore, but grossed over Rs 106 crore at the box office. A powerful film that explains the importance of consent, the script taught men a better lesson than any big-budget film.
2. Kahaani

Vidya Balan is confident of taking a script and making it her own, which means that she did not need a big banner to make money from the film. Which was made on a budget of only 8 crores, but was doing more than 104 crores business on the box office.
3. Vicky donor

Ayushmann Khurrana’s debut film was a super hit with the general public and while its budget was only Rs 15 crore, the well-made film grossed over Rs 66 crore at the box office.
4. Khosla ka Ghosla

An extremely brilliant film starring Anupam Kher, Parveen Dabas and Boman Irani, this story is something in which ‘Dilwale’ will have a lot to relate to. Made on a budget of just under Rs 5 crore, the film could not do much at the box office, but remains a hit among the general public.
5. The Lunchbox

A very simple story told beautifully and brilliantly by Irrfan Khan and Nimrat Kaur. The film was made on a budget of Rs 22 crore, which is not very high by Bollywood standards. But still the figure of 100 crores touches and leaves its mark in various international film festivals.
6. Queen

The film proved that Kangana Ranaut is basically a mitochondria of talent and can work anything with her magic. The makers said that no big banner was supporting the film and no actress was ready to work on a budget of Rs 12 crore. But the film touched a figure of 120 crores and won all the awards.
