International flights are resuming today from Sunday after being close for two years. The country’s airports and airline companies are fully prepare for this. The introduction of international airlines will help the sector to take the flight of development. Regular flights were closed since 23 March 2020 due to restrictions imposed for the prevention of corona epidemic, but regular international flights from India are resuming operations from Sunday after corona cases are negligible.

New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport expects a significant jump in passenger numbers in the first week of April after the resumption of regular international flights. DIAL, which operates the country’s largest airport IGIA, expects more than 60 international flights to operate from here. Along with Indian airline companies, various foreign airline companies including Emirates, Virgin Atlantic are also excited about the resumption of international airlines.

Amendment in Covid guidelines regarding flights.
The government has also revised the COVID guidelines for international flight operations. The requirement to keep three seats vacant on international flights for medical emergencies has removed. With this the requirement of having complete PPE kit for the crew has done away with. The government on 23 March 2020 decided to suspend scheduled international airlines to India to prevent the spread of infection during the Corona pandemic. However, since July 2020, special international flights have been operating between India and 37 countries under the air bubble arrangement.
Booster dose to those going abroad too soon.
The central government may soon take a decision to give a precautionary dose of corona vaccine to those going abroad for studies, job, business and office work. According to sources, consideration is on to allow those going abroad to get booster doses paid from private immunization centers.
