American company Johnson & Johnson’s single dose vaccine has got approval for emergency use in India. Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya gave this information. The special thing is that this will the first such vaccine to be use in India, which will prove to effective against corona in a single dose only.

Company claims – Vaccine is 85% effective
On August 5, Johnson & Johnson had sought approval from the Indian government for the use of a single dose vaccine. According to the company, the vaccine has shown to be 85% effective in the trial.
Covishield, Covaxin, Sputnik V and Moderna have approved
Johnson is the fifth vaccine to have approved, after Covishield, Covaxin, Sputnik V and Moderna. However, Serum Institute’s Covishield, Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin and Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine are currently being use in India. Covishield, Covaxin are being install at government centers. While Sputnik is also available in private hospitals. Two doses of the vaccine currently being use in India are give. Covishield is given in two doses over 84 days while Covaxin is given at an interval of 4 to 6 weeks.
