The inauguration of Asia’s largest Bio CNG plant in Indore city will prove to be a milestone in the innovations of cleanliness. The ‘Govardhan Bio CNG Plant’, which produces 17500 kg of bio-CNG from 550 tonnes of wet waste, has started in the trenching ground.
Features of the plant
Through this plant, the emission of 1 lakh 30 thousand tonnes of carbon dioxide can reduced in a year. State Governor Mangubhai Patel, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan also virtually participated in this program. City MP Shankar Lalwani, Water Resources Minister Tulsi Silavat, Minister of State for Urban Administration OPS Bhadauria and other dignitaries and officials of the city were present in the event.
Zero landfill model in three cities
Such preparations have been made in three cities including Raipur in the country to recycle as much waste as possible so that there is no danger of landfill becoming high mountains. A short film was also shown mentioning the success of Mobius Foundation’s efforts in this direction. Gradually, such bio-CNG plants will be set up in other cities of the country and they too will able to move forward by taking such steps in the field of cleanliness. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan said in his address, ‘I congratulate the people of Indore. Indore is the only city in the country which separates 6 types of waste. More than 20 markets have become zero waste zones here. Here the rivers are being revive. With the mantra of PM Narendra Modi, Bhopal, Jabalpur and Rewa are also moving in this direction.
In this plant, compost will made from wet waste.
In this plant, dung will used to prepare bacteria, dung will purchased from farmers. Solar energy will used in the plant. In this way, this project is proving the saying of the price of mango kernels to be true.
