CBSE rationalizing the 9th to 12th class syllabus for the next academic session to compensate for the wasted time due to coronavirus epidemic and lockdown.

CBSE Board said, assessing the situation, will decide soon

According to a senior board official, the status has assessed, and a decision will taken soon. NCERT said last week that an alternate calendar would be implemented for children from first to fifth grade, as these classes are studying at home. The council is also making similar plans for classes above this.

The annual academic calendar is disturbed

On April 14, the lockdown period had extended to May 3. During this time all schools have remained closed, and examinations have already postponed. Due to this, the annual academic calendar has already been disturbed. Many schools are adopting the process of reading through online education, but there is no uniform policy in this regard.

Week based plan in an alternative calendar

The alternate calendar of NCERT has a week-based plan. Which, incorporates interesting reading activities and links to the theme of a chapter in the syllabus or textbook. CBSE has already clarified that it will conduct exams for only 29 subjects which has required for promotion to the next class of children or admission in higher educational institutions.
