Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh informed in Lok Sabha today that the investigation into the helicopter crash will be done by Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (Training Command) Air Marshal Manvendra Singh. On Wednesday itself, the investigation team has reached Wellington and started investigation. In this helicopter crash, 13 people including India’s first CDS General Vipin Rawat and his wife were kill.

Air Marshal Manvendra Singh was induct into the Flying Branch of the Indian Air Force on 29 December 1982 as a helicopter pilot. After this he was give many important responsibilities. Air Marshal Manvendra Singh took over as the Chief of the Southern Air Command of the Indian Air Force on February 1 this year, after which he was give the responsibility of Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (Training Command) in September.
