Delhi Unlock News : Permission has been given to open all authorized weekly markets in Delhi from 9th August i.e. Monday. Along with the permission to open the market, the Delhi government has also imposed some strict conditions. Instruction to Zonal Deputy Commissioner – Rules should not be violated. Action will be taken on the complaint under DDMA order.
Markets have been allowed to open in Delhi from August 9.
Under the process of Unlock Delhi, now some more concessions have been announced from the coming Monday. Now all authorized weekly markets have been allowed to open in Delhi from 9th August i.e. Monday, but at the same time some strict conditions have also been imposed. The district magistrate and the zonal deputy commissioner of MCD have been asked to ensure that there is no violation of rules and action is taken under the DDMA order if any complaint comes to the fore.
CM Arvind Kejriwal said that weekly markets are being opened from Monday. The Delhi government has taken this decision keeping in mind the problems of the poor people.

CM Arvind Kejriwal tweeted that the weekly market is being opened from Monday. He said that those who set up weekly markets are poor people and the government is very concerned about their livelihood. Although the health and life of the people are also very important. The CM appealed to everyone to follow the rules of prevention from Covid seriously. The rules in the markets should be fully taken care of.
SOP will have to be followed, there will be no market on road sides
According to the information, all authorized weekly markets can be held from Monday, but no market will be held on the road sides. The SOP made regarding the markets will be strictly followed. According to the guidelines of DDMA, markets can be set up only in those places where weekly markets have been approved. These weekly markets can be set up in nearby grounds, school grounds.
Random testing arrangements in the markets
Also, special arrangements should be made for random testing in the markets. Checking should be done on random basis. At present, only one weekly market was allowed to run in each zone of MCD-NDMC in a day, but now all markets can be held.
