This anti-national activity has come down due to the Modi government policy of not tolerating terrorism at all. In 2018, these activities were in 174 police station areas of the country, while in 2019 they reduced to 161 police stations. These police stations belong to Maoist-affected Jharkhand, Bihar and Maharashtra and separatism-affected Jammu and Kashmir, Assam and the North-Eastern states.
This data of terrorism affected areas related to different ideologies has recently submitted by the Police Research and Development Bureau to the Ministry of Home Affairs. There has a slight decline in the number of affected police station areas in a year. But if this trend of decline persists for a few years, large areas of the country can become terrorism free.
The government is now making efforts to make more than 13 police station areas terrorism-free in 2021. In this connection, Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla has conveyed to the Director Generals of all the Central Forces the government’s. In counter-terrorism areas, central forces work closely with local police.
Modi Government, Home Minister Amit Shah has asked to move forward on the policy of not tolerating terrorism at all. With this, India will also included in the category of developed and safe countries.
In 2019, the maximum 22 districts of Jharkhand affected by terrorism or extremism while 17 districts of Bihar. 16–16 districts in Assam and Manipur, 15–15 districts of Odisha and Jammu and Kashmir. 14 districts of Chhattisgarh, 11 districts of Nagaland, eight districts of Telangana, six districts of Andhra Pradesh, five districts each of Kerala and West Bengal.

Along with this, three districts each of Arunachal Pradesh, Maharashtra and two districts of Madhya Pradesh affected by terrorism or extremism. In the year 2011, 188 police stations in the country affected by terrorism or extremism. While in 2014, 170 police stations affected. But in 2016 the number of affected police stations area was increased to 188.
