Flight operations will resume at Delhi Airport's T1 terminal from October 31.

The operation of flights will resume from October 31 at the T1 terminal of Delhi airport after about 18 months. Its operating company Delhi International Airport Limited (Dial) gave this information on Friday.

GMR Group-led DIAL informed that earlier Delhi Airport’s T3 and T2 terminals resumed flight operations from May 25, 2020 and July 22, 2021 respectively.

Flight operations will resume from T1 terminal

With the resumption of flight operations from the T1 terminal, the Delhi airport will be fully functional. DIAL said in a statement that flights will resume operations from the T1 terminal after being closed for about 18 months. Airlines Indigo and SpiceJet will start their services. IndiGo’s first flight will leave for Mumbai when flights resume operations from the T1 terminal.

Operations were close since 25 March 2020.

Due to the nationwide lockdown implement in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, the T1 terminal was close for flights since 25 March 2020.

DIAL CEO Videh Kumar said that with the resumption of the third terminal, the Delhi airport will be fully functional. We would like to assure the passengers that they will be in a safe and sound environment at Delhi Airport.
