Team India Corona Case, IND vs WI : After the defeat in the Test and ODI series against South Africa, the eyes of the Indian team are on a fresh start. But after the detection of Covid-19 cases, the preparations of the team have suffered a major setback. Now BCCI has included this player in the team.
IND vs WI : Corona virus havoc on Indian team
Before the series against West Indies, difficulties have arisen for Team India. Four players and three support staff including Shikhar Dhawan have found to be corona-positive. The series against West Indies will start with the ODI match to held in Ahmedabad on 6 February.
IND vs WI : According to the statement of BCCI
Shikhar Dhawan, Rituraj Gaikwad, middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer and standby Navdeep Saini have been found corona infected. Apart from him, fielding coach T. Dileep, security liaison officer B. The Covid-19 report of Lokesh and massage therapist Rajiv Kumar has also come positive. The medical team of BCCI is handling positive cases and all these seven members will remain in isolation till they recover completely.
Mayank Agarwal has been included in India’s ODI squad.
Now the All India Senior Selection Committee has included Mayank Agarwal in India’s ODI team after the players were found to be corona virus positive. Mayank Agarwal was part of the Indian Test team on the South Africa tour. However, Mayank’s performance in the Test series was not that good.

The team members were ask to report for the upcoming three-match ODI and T20I series against West Indies on 31 January 2022 in Ahmedabad. Each member was also ask to undergo RT-PCR test at home before leaving for Ahmedabad. The travel was allow only after testing negative.

- The RT-PCR test conducted on Monday (January 31) of opener Shikhar Dhawan and fast bowler Navdeep Saini (standby player) gave positive results.

Fielding coach T. Dileep and security liaison officer B. Lokesh’s RT-PCR tests conducted on Monday (January 31) have given positive results.

On Tuesday (February 1), the positive result of RT-PCR test of young batsman Rituraj Gaikwad has come. His result came negative during the first round of testing on Monday.

Batsman Shreyas Iyer and Sports Massage Therapist Rajiv Kumar have come positive in the RT-PCR test conducted on Wednesday (February 2). Both had achieved negative results in the first two rounds of testing.
