The Indian government has extended a helping hand to China caught in the Coronavirus. India will soon send a consignment of medical supplies to China to deal with the outbreak of the Coronavirus. India’s Ambassador to China Vikram Mishri on Sunday said that India stands with the people of China in the fight against the epidemic.
After 142 new deaths due to the dangerous virus COVID-19 in China, the death toll has risen to 1665. Hubei province has the highest number of deaths in China.
Vikram Mishri said An India would soon send a consignment of medical supplies to China to deal with the corona outbreak. It will demonstrate the goodwill, solidarity and friendship of the Government of India with China and its people. He said that India would do everything possible to help the people of China in this time of difficulty.
Indian officials said that the list of goods needed for China worked out and the consignment will be sent to China as soon as it is ready. Also, India has lifted restrictions on some medical devices to meet the requirements of Chinese importers. At the same time, China has said that it needs masks, gloves and suits, especially for medical staff caring for virus affected patients. The demand for masks has overgrown in the last three weeks.
In a video message released to the Chinese media on Sunday, Mishri said, “During the last few weeks, the whole world has witnessed the outbreak of Coronavirus and the severe challenges it poses. I want to extend my solidarity and support to the Chinese people and the government in dealing with this epidemic. He said that we are sorry for the people and families who are affected by this epidemic. I want to express my support primarily to the people of Wuhan City and Hubei Province who have been most affected by this epidemic. People here hold a special place in the heart of the people of India.
