Kia Carens three-row MPV launched in India, know its starting price and features.

Kia Carens was officially launched in India on Tuesday at a starting price of Rs 8.99 lakh, ex-showroom. The top-of-the-line variant of the Carens has priced at Rs 16.99 lakh, ex-showroom. The company has said that this is the introductory price of the car. That is, its price may increase in future. The Carence is the fourth product from Kia India since its launch here in 2019. Earlier, the company has launched Seltos, Carnival and Sonet in the Indian market.

Fantastic response.

The bookings for Kia Carens started in the month of January. Since then, the company has received more than 19,000 bookings in almost a month. According to Kia, the Cars had received 7,738 bookings within 24 hours on the very first day of booking. Along with this, this car is getting tremendous response from the market.

Booking Details.

Kia India has started pre-booking for customers from 14 January 2022. Interested customers can book the vehicle of their choice through the official website of Kia India and any authorized dealership of Kia India with a booking amount of Rs 25,000.

Carense is an India-specific product and is being manufactured at the company’s manufacturing plant in Anantapur. Kia says its new car is a three-row cross between an MPV and an SUV – a recreational vehicle. The company is producing this car in India and at a later stage it will exported from India to overseas markets.

5 variants.

The Kia Carens comes in five variants – Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury and Luxury Plus. Kia is betting big on the Carens and expects the vehicle to be a favorite among people who are looking for a car that is packed with features.

Engine option.

The Kia Carens is offered with three engine options – Smartstream 1.5-litre Petrol (Smartstream 1.5-litre petrol), Smartstream 1.4-litre T-GDi Petrol (Smartstream 1.4-litre T-GDi petrol), and 1.5-litre CRDi VGT Diesel (1.5-litre CRDi VGT Diesel). Three transmission options are available with these engines – 6-speed manual transmission, 7-speed DCT and 6-speed automatic.

Kia also claims that the cost of ownership of the Carence (1.4-litre, Turbo GDI) is just Rs 0.37 per kilometer. The ARAI certified fuel efficiency figures have claimed at 21.3 kmpl for the diesel and 16.5 kmpl for the petrol variant.

Features.

The car is equipped with 66 connected features like next-gen Kia Connect app with 66 connected features, flexible seating options, sliding type seat under the tray, retractable seatback table, rear door spot lamp and bottle and gadget holder in the third row.

10 High-Safety Packages.

There is also a lot of space in the third row of this vehicle. All the features of this car make it a complete family car. The Kia Carens comes equipped with the Robust 10 High-Safety Package as standard across all trims, which includes 6 airbags ABS, ESC, VSM, Hill Assist, DBC. All this make it one of the safest vehicles on Indian roads.

Size

Kia is offering the Carens in six and seven seater layouts. The length of the cairn is 4,540 mm, width is 1,800 mm, height is 1,708 mm. Along with this, the car also comes with the longest wheelbase in its segment. Its wheelbase is 2,780 mm.
