On February 7, 2023, Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani were wed. In front of family and friends, including Mira Rajput, Manish Malhotra, Shahid Kapoor, and Karan Johar, the couple got married at the Suryagarh Palace in Jaisalmer. After the lovely wedding ceremony, which featured a baraat with nonstop dancing throughout the picturesque Rajasthan hotel, Sidharth and Kiara shared their official wedding photos on Tuesday. Almost immediately, hilarious wedding memes started to circulate online. Some were contrasting it with other well-known Bollywood weddings, but others were enamoured with Kiara’s “Sindhi” bridal look.
Of course, it was only appropriate to make fun of Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani’s wedding attire. Some made jokes about how Manish Malhotra’s light pink and cream ensembles for Kiara and Sidharth resembled those worn in the past by Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal, and Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul.
While Athiya and KL Rahul wore Anamika Khanna for their January 23 wedding, Anushka and Virat wore Sabyasachi for their 2017 wedding. Manish also dressed Varun and Natasha for their wedding in 2021. A person responded by tweeting, “possibly,” after sharing a collage of their similar wedding attire and comparing them to different paneer dishes that share the same appearance, such as “shahi paneer,” “paneer pasanda,” “paneer lababdar,” and “kadhai paneer.”
Kiara Advani’s wedding attire also attracted a lot of attention, particularly her bulky necklace made of emeralds and diamonds that served as part of her bridal jewellery.
Diet Sabya, an Instagram user who focuses on fashion, used Instagram Stories to share her thoughts on the bride’s attire. “Sindhis take their diamonds very seriously,” someone had said. One more joked, “Jeweler: How many emeralds and diamonds do you want? Drenched diamonds or nothing, she genuinely said.”
