Shraddha fell in love with Aftab and eloped with him to Delhi against her parents’ wishes. They started living in a flat in Mehrauli.
Now, it’s found that Aftab chopped her body into 35 pieces & bought a fridge to store them & threw them at various locations over 18 days.
Laxman Nadir, Shraddha’s friend told the police, “I was worried about Shraddha since July as there wasn’t any reply from her side. Her phone was switched off too. After enquiring about her among her other friends, I informed her brother & we approached the police.”
One common friend of Aftab Poonawala and Shraddha Walker has been called for questioning. This is the friend who had intimated Shraddha’s father about her going incommunicado: Delhi Police Sources.
Aftab installed a dating app while Shraddha’s body parts remained in the fridge, bringing another woman home.
Rajat Shraddha Friend told the police, Shraddha & Aaftab have been in a relationship since 2018. Initially, they lived happily. Then Shraddha started telling them that Aaftab beat her. She wanted to leave him but couldn’t do so. They shifted to Delhi for a job.

Accused Aftab Poonawala, being brought out of Mehrauli Police Station. He is now being taken to the spot in the jungle where he allegedly disposed of parts of Shraddha’s body.

Police trying to get in touch with other friends. Aftab’s social media account is being scanned. His past relationships are to be analyzed. 4 of his friends who met him before he had a relationship with Shraddha will be contacted: Delhi police sources on Shraddha murder case.
Delhi Police may write to Bumble to get details of Aftab’s profile to find details of women who visited him in his house when her body was still in the refrigerator. Police are looking at the possibility that any of these women could be a reason behind this killing: DP Sources.
