Maruti Suzuki XL6 2022 has been officially launched in the country on Thursday. The latest XL6 from Maruti has received several visual updates to the exterior profile. Notably, the cabin of the car gets an updated feature list and a new 1.5-litre petrol engine, which comes mated to a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
Premium 6-seater car.
The XL6 is a premium 6-seater version of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga 7-seater MPV. The XL6 was first launched in the market in 2019. Maruti also updated the Ertiga earlier this month. But the newly updated XL6 will help Maruti once again increase its share in the MPV segment, which now includes the Kia Carens. But while the Cars is priced in the Rs 9.59 lakh to Rs 16.59 lakh (ex-showroom) price range, the XL6 may still cost a bit more.
Engine power and gearbox.
The next generation K-Series dual-jet petrol engine is available in the new Maruti XL6. This engine generates power of 103 hp and torque of 136.8 Nm. This engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and an all-new 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Maruti also claims that there is better control on the NVH level, lower emissions and more gear change options to improve the performance of the car.
Three variants.
The XL6 is offered in three variants – Zeta, Alpha and Alpha Plus. This car is sold through Maruti’s premium Nexa network.
How much is the price?
The starting ex-showroom price of the Zeta variant with manual transmission of 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 has been fixed at Rs 11.29 lakh. Which goes up to Rs 14.55 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Alpha+ variant with dual tone color theme.

Booking Details.
Maruti Suzuki has already started bookings for the XL6 facelift. This car can booked with an initial payment of Rs 11,000. Customers wishing to buy this premium MPV car can book it by logging into any NEXA showroom or the official NEXA website.
What are the changes in the look and design?
Talking about the latest XL6, there are many small but important changes in its exterior body style. The front grille has been updated with more chrome garnishes. Additional chrome garnish is available on the side and rear of the car. Also, the car now comes with large dual-tone 16-inch alloy wheels.
Interior and features.
The cabin of the XL6 has always been one of its strengths. As usual, it gets a big cabin for 6 people. The company has updated it both in terms of features and convenience. Ventilated front seats have long been a demand from Maruti customers and the XL6 has become the first model from the brand to incorporate this feature. The XL6 sports an updated 7.0-inch display screen. Suzuki is making its way into the Connect model with around 40 connected features. Vehicle owners can remotely view various data related to the car.
Safety Features.
The new XL6 MPV car gets several important safety feature updates. This feature list includes the 360-degree camera, which was first seen in the updated Baleno earlier this year. It is based on the latest HEARTECT platform. It gets 4 airbags – dual front and dual front side, ABS and EBS as standard. Apart from this, many other features like low pressure warning tire pressure monitoring system have included.
Competition.
The Maruti Suzuki XL6 MPV competes directly with Kia Carens in the Indian car market. But indirectly, the XL6 also competes with the Renault Triber, Mahindra XUV700, Tata Safari and Hyundai Alcazar, which come in different price ranges depending on the variant.
