Motorola Razor vs Samsung Galaxy Fold , Who is Better

Motorola revived the razor phone with a brand new one, and it looks great. The company has brought back the iconic flip phone, and this time it comes with a foldable display. This means that there is a large flexible display on the inside that folds in half like a clashell. The new Motorola Razer not only brings back the retro design. Rather it also tells about the future at the same time. And yes, it will launch in India soon.

Now, many people may be wondering how different Motorola Razor is from Samsung Galaxy Fold, which is another foldable phone recently launched in India. The Galaxy Fold is Samsung’s first foldable phone that also offers a flexible display. But Samsung’s approach to foldable smartphones is different from what Motorola did. So, here’s what you need to know.

Motorola Razor vs Galaxy Fold: Design

Motorola and Samsung have adopted two different approaches to what a foldable phone should look like. The Galaxy Fold has a large 7.3-inch AMOLED display that folds like a book. Hence the form factor of the fold is vertical compared to the razor. Samsung’s idea is to introduce the smartphone’s co-tablet experience with a larger display and a 4.6-inch screen on the cover.

Meanwhile, the Motorola Razer clings to the same flip phone design of the iconic Razor. When folded, the razor is a small pocketable size, with a small 2.8-inch display on the cover. When open, the razor sports a 6.2-inch flexible polyed screen that is about the size of a regular smartphone.

Motorola Razor is basically a smartphone and is not trying to give a tablet-like experience with its foldable display. Horizontal hinge mechanisms are designed. So that the display can be folded in half and sit flush on both sides so that the phone looks thin even when it is turned off. The 6.2-inch display provides a common 21: 9 wide-screen aspect ratio. So here the application will not look unusual. The 2.8-inch small screen on the cover is mainly used for reading notifications, taking selfies and playing music.

Fold the Galaxy offers a different kind of folding experience. The vertical hinge design allows flexible display to bend like a book, and also makes the fold thicker when closed than the razor. The 7.3-inch display features a 4.2: 3 squash aspect ratio and custom One UI to give a tablet-like experience with multitasking features. A 4.6-inch display on the cover can be used to make calls and quickly browse through social media apps, it is more useful than the cover screen on the Razor.

Motorola Razor vs Galaxy Fold: Hardware

As indifferent and futuristic as the Motorola Razor, the hardware may not be as exciting. The Motorola Razer is powered by a mid-range Snapdragon 710 processor rather than a flagship chipset. This could sting those hoping for top-end hardware for the price that Motorola Razors launched. It is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

In comparison, the Galaxy Fold comes with Maximed flagship specs including the Snapdragon 855 SoC with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It also has a total of six cameras. Some of which are also found on the Galaxy Note 10. The new razor, on the other hand, gives a single 16MP main camera on the cover display, allowing you to take selfies while on the device. Is folded There is also a 5MP camera above the flexible display on the front.

Talking about the display, the Galaxy Fold Sports has a 7.3-inch Infinity Flex Dynamic AMOLED display with QXGA + 1536 x 2152 resolution and a 4.6-inch HD + 840 x 1960 screen on the cover. Meanwhile, the Motorola razor gets a 6.2-inch Polo Flex View display with HD 2142 x876 resolution and a 2.7-inch round cover screen with 600×800 resolution.

Finally, the Motorola Razer packs a 2,510mAh battery and supports 15W fast charging, while the Galaxy Fold has a 4,380mAh battery and supports Quick Charge 2.0 fast charging.
