As the famous quote by our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, goes, “No task is impossible; no path is difficult; if our resolution is strong. We have to be dedicated to making ourselves self-reliant. This magnificent building of self-reliant India will stand on five pillars, namely economy, infrastructure, technology, demography, and demand“, we don’t need to worry about the country’s growth if the five pillars are balanced.

The new generation entrepreneur, Nilay Chakrapani, derives his inspiration from this quote and makes it a determination to walk along the country’s progress lines.
With a sense of ownership and responsibility towards making India self-reliant, he surges ahead.
His contribution as an ecommerce whiz is somewhat unique to others in the same line of business.
The digital entrepreneur is in his late 20s and spends most of his time offering consultation to the brands to encourage their digital space movement.
This modern-day entrepreneur refuses to rest until he accomplishes what’s on his mind.
He always wanted to mark the ecommerce markets while training aspiring professionals to get on the journey smoothly.
His relentless pursuit of success was only achieved with inspiration from the lives of famous entrepreneurs that he read about and time and again.
He did not build a meaningful life such as this overnight. It took him quite a few experiences in his college life to build a million-dollar worth business today with barely any money in his bank account. This is truly a story of inspiration for all youth.
Back in time, when Nilay was preparing for the IIT-JEE exams, he met with an unfortunate accident that turned his life upside down.
After he recovered from the emotional trauma of not doing things as planned, he joined the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) for a B. Tech degree.
He engaged himself in a few side hustles to sustain himself through college tenure. He was undoubtedly a reading bug, and the learnings that he would take away from books would always apply in his life.
The digital marketing industry’s inherent potential motivated him to invest his skills and add value to that field.
Nilay started this journey almost a decade back when it was a relatively new vertical and people were still exploring.
He explored books on social media marketing to expand his existing skillset and give back something to the digital space.
He would often connect with influencers and entrepreneurs who made a career out of social media to understand the fundamentals better.
The company that he then worked with couldn’t care less about the smaller brands while focusing on big-shot brands- Nilay couldn’t quite understand why and decided to venture off on his own.

After he spent some time doing social media, he diversified into ecommerce drop-shipping.
Back when he ventured into dropshipping, there was barely any resource on the internet to learn from, which is in 2015. He figured out the entire process by himself.
Backed up by his own research and understanding, Nilay started investing whatever he earned from social media clients into the dropshipping business.
It was only after he applied some of the marketing and sales strategies and invested 1.8 lakh in the first six months of the business that it began to show results.
His efforts were paid off when the first ecommerce sale rolled in. As his business grew, he expanded to the USA, Canada, Australia, and the UK markets.
Gradually, the Indian Market caught Nilay’s attention in 2018. He started working around ways to make India a center of e-commerce dealings, and he was successful. He clocked more than Rs. 30 crores in sales and felt that the current market trend has enormous opportunities.
Today he works closely with aggregators to identify challenges that plague the Indian ecommerce market. He trains people aspiring to make a career in e-commerce.
His core focus is to contribute however much he can to make India a global leader in the business since he understands the potential of the ecommerce market in India and is prepared to go to any length to make India self-reliant.
