Uttarakhand : Char Dham Yatra banned due to heavy rain
Along with many parts of the country, a red alert has been issued for heavy rains in Uttarakhand as well. In view of the possibility of heavy rains in the entire state, the government came on alert mode. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has returned to Uttarakhand after leaving Ayodhya tour. He has ordered all the officers to be on alert.

Ban on going beyond Rishikesh
The administration has banned any traveler from going above Rishikesh. There is a traffic jam on the National Highway for several kilometers. According to the Meteorological Department, the coming two days can prove to be heavy for the state. In such a situation, the Meteorological Department has advised to be alert and not to travel unnecessarily.
The government has banned Kedarnath and Badrinath Yatra.
All the passengers are being sent back. The situation is such that about 5000 vehicles of the pilgrims who went on the Kedarnath Yatra are stuck in Sonprayag and Guptkashi. Along with this, travelers or tourists who have left for travel or tourist places before the declaration of red alert towards the mountains, have been stopped in Rishikesh and Narend Nagar and have been asked to return.

All the district magistrates have been instructed by the state government to remain alert. Also 29 teams of SDRF have been sent to different districts. In view of the red alert, the government has completely banned the Chardham Yatra for the time being, where the passengers are stuck due to the sudden ban on the journey.
