All three Redmi K50 phones will equipped with a side-facing fingerprint scanner. Redmi unveiled the Redmi K40, K40 Prov and K40 Pro+ smartphones in China in February 2021. Hence, it appears that the company may introduce multiple Redmi K50 models in China in the coming month. According to a new Weibo post from the digital chat station, the K50 lineup will include at least three models namely the Redmi K50, K50 Pro, and the K50 e-sports edition, which appears to be the Redmi K50 gaming edition.

The tipster revealed that all three Redmi K50 phones will be equipped with a side-facing fingerprint scanner. Previous reports have claimed that these models will be equipped with an OLED display. The leaker said that there is another model in the K50 series with an in-screen fingerprint scanner. Furthermore, he revealed that Redmi is currently testing a new phone with smaller L16/L16U model numbers. It can come in the Chinese market as Redmi Note series device. Also, there is a 4G Redmi phone with the model number L19 which is expected to sport a waterdrop notch display.
Redmi K50 Gaming Edition Specifications
Another tipster has shared some important information about the features of the Redmi K50 e-sports edition. The Panda Bald has revealed that the device measures 162 x 76.8 x 8.45 mm and weighs 210 grams. It sports a 6.67-inch display, which appears to be an OLED curved edge panel that supports Full HD+ resolution.

Redmi K50 Gaming Edition Camera
For photography, it will have a 16-megapixel front camera and a 48-megapixel / 64-megapixel (main) + 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera unit. The device will equipped with dual VC calling system and gaming shoulder trigger key.
Redmi K50 Gaming Edition Battery
Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset is likely to power the device. There could be a 4,700mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging. There is a possibility that the company may release an edition of the device with some less powerful chip.
