Renault India on Monday launched the all-new Kwid MY22 in the country with a starting price of Rs 4.49 lakh. The Renault Kwid MY22 is made available in both 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre SCe powertrain options with both manual and automatic transmission options. The model gets updated interiors with new advanced features. Whereas in the exterior look, the climber range comes with white accents.
Engine and mileage.
The Renault Kwid, which was first launched in the country in 2015, has sold over 4,00,000 units so far. The new Kwid MY22 range has introduced with both the 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre MT powertrain engine options in the RXL (O) variant. This model line gets silver streak LED DRLs which give a premium appeal to the car. The Renault Kwid 0.8-litre variant gives a mileage of 22.25 kmpl as per ARAI testing certification.
These features are available for the first time in its category.
Coming to the interiors of the car, the new model gets first-in-class features such as MediaNAV Evolution, an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, video playback and voice recognition features. It gets a first in its class feature like reverse parking camera with guidelines. Along with this, electrically adjustable ORVMs have also given in it.

Safety Features.
The new model follows all the existing safety requirements for the Indian market. It also comes with a host of active and passive safety features like dual front airbags, ABS and EBD, seat belt reminder, overspeed alert, reverse parking sensor and driver side pyro and pre-tensioner with load limiter. These are available as standard in all the variants.
Color option.
The color options of the Renault Kwid MY22 Climber range include Metal Mustard and Ice Cool White in dual tone with a black roof. This includes new dual tone flex wheels. In single tone, the color options include colors like Moonlight Silver and Zanskar Blue.
Maintenance cost 35 paise per km.
The company claims that the maintenance cost of the model line is as low as 35 paise per km. Additionally, Renault offers a comprehensive manufacturer warranty for two years or 50,000 km, whichever is earlier, with extension options of up to five years and an easy-to-care package for maintenance needs. The warranty plan comes with 24X7 Road Side Assistance (RSA) at no extra cost.
Growing network.
The carmaker has been expanding its network reach in the country by adding over 150 facilities over the past two years. Presently, the brand has a presence of 530 sales and more than 530 service touchpoints. This includes over 250 Workshop on Wheels (WOW) and WOWLite locations across the country.
