Along with this, the look of the new chigger has also been updated. The Renault Chiger was first launched in India in early 2021. The Renault Chiger comes with a 4-star safety rating in the global NCAP crash test. The new Renault Chiger 2022 boasts of a more feature loaded cabin along with several visual updates.

Both these features have become increasingly common in the cars offered in the Indian market and are increasing in demand from potential buyers. More importantly, it gets the PM2.5 Advanced Atmospheric Filter. Which is now being made standard on every variant of the SUV.

Apart from this, the latest Chiger Turbo range also gets a front skid plate, chrome on the tail gate, turbo door decals and a new exterior color option – Metal Mustard with Mystery Black roof in dual tone. Red fed dashboard accents and quilt emboss seat upholstery with red stitching are included as an option. The vehicle comes with 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels which get red wheel caps.

Engine and power.
The Renault Kiger is offered in two engine options – a 1.0-litre Energy engine mated to MT and EASY-R AMT transmissions and a 1.0-litre turbo engine mated to MT and X-TRONIC CVT transmissions. Launched last year as part of Renault’s 10th anniversary celebrations in India. The Kiger RXT(O) variant will be available in 1.0L turbo mated to MT and X-tronic CVT transmissions.
Mileage and price.
The starting ex-showroom price of 2022 Renault Kiger is Rs 5.84 lakh. This car claims to give mileage of 20.5 kmpl. The company will continue to manufacture the vehicle at its plant near Chennai from where it is sold in the Indian market as well as exported to overseas markets such as Nepal, South Africa and Indonesia.

In the sub-compact SUV segment in the Indian market. The Renault Kiger competes with cars like Nissan Magnite, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Mahindra XUV700.
