As a result of the reopening of cinema halls in Maharashtra as well as the unprecedented success of Rohit Shetty’s ‘Sooryavanshi’, starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, it is expected that the momentum will continue over the next few weeks with the release of a slew of much-anticipated forthcoming films. In the coming weeks, here’s a look at what the entertainment industry has to offer:

Bunty Aur Babli 2

In the first place, there’s the Yash Raj Films production ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’. The film is a sequel to the critically acclaimed 2005 film of the same name, and it tells the story of two con artists and their game of one-upmanship. A release date has been set for the film, which is directed by debutant Varun V. Sharma.

Satyameva Jayate 2

Satyameva Jayate 2: Following that, we have the John Abraham-starrer ‘Satyameva Jayate 2,’ in which the actor will play three different roles. The film is being billed as a spiritual sequel to Milap Milan Zaveri’s 2018 vigilante action thriller, which was also directed by Zaveri. It is scheduled to be released on November 25th.

Antim

Antim – The Final Truth, directed by Mahesh Manjrekar and starring Salman Khan and Aayush Sharma, will be released just a day after ‘Satyameva Jayate 2’ and will be available on Netflix. Salman plays the role of a Sikh cop in the film, which is a remake of the successful Marathi film ‘Mulshi Pattern’. The film is directed by Salman himself. The film ‘Antim – The Final Truth’ will be released in theatres on November 26.

Tadap

‘Tadap’ is Ahan Shetty’s feature film debut, in which he co-stars with Tara Sutaria in a romantic action drama. With the release of its first song, the film has already captured the attention of the public, and it appears to be on its way to bringing another love story to the screen, thanks to Tara and Ahan’s undeniable chemistry. The film, which is directed by Milan Luthria, will be released on December 3rd.

Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui

Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui: Every time Ayushmann Khurrana appears on the screen, one can be confident that he will deliver a fresh and original story. And he doesn’t let us down again this time around. It is said that he is responsible for popularizing offbeat content. He appears in this film alongside Vaani Kapoor, who plays a trans woman. In this Abhishek Kapoor-directed film, Ayushmann plays the role of a lover who is torn between two worlds. The film is scheduled to be released on December 10th.

Kapil Dev’s first World Cup-winning team is the subject of the penultimate Bollywood release of the year, ’83’, a biographical sports drama based on the team’s first World Cup victory. ’83, directed by Kabir Khan, stars Ranveer Singh in the role of Kapil Dev. Aside from that, it has a strong ensemble cast that includes Deepika Padukone, Pankaj Tripathi, Boman Irani, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Harrdy Sandhu, Saqib Saleem, Ammy Virk, Sahil Khattar, and Jatin Sarna, among others. A release date for the film has been set for December 25.

Jersey

Last but not least, we have Shahid Kapoor-starrer ‘Jersey’. It is an official remake of a Telugu film of the same name that was released in 2007. Gowtam Tinnanuri, who directed the Telugu original, is also in charge of the Hindi remake. The story revolves around a 36-year-old cricketer who returns to the game after a long absence with the goal of playing for the Indian team. The film will be released on December 31.
