Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor wore a traditional ‘Nauvari’ saree on the special occasion of Gudi Padwa, which holds a special significance for the actress. Nauvari is a celebration of a woman’s strength and fighting spirit. Traditionally worn by women to fight in war in those days. The saree allowed movement and freedom of movement and was not merely an aesthetic dress.
Talking about the festival, Shraddha shared, “With Gudi Padwa, Cheti Chand, Navratri and Ugadi, I look forward to starting the new year on a happy, optimistic and positive note.”
