Single dose corona vaccine arrived in India, government approved

Delhi: At this time the whole world is battling with the corona virus epidemic. Meanwhile, good news has come for India. The central government has approved Johnson’s single-dose vaccine. That is, now corona can be defeated by applying the vaccine in only one dose.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has tweeted and said that now India has 5 EUA vaccines. He said that this will further boost our nation’s collective fight against COVID19. Earlier, global healthcare company Johnson & Johnson said that it has applied for Emergency Use (EUA) for its one-dose COVID-19 vaccine in India.

 

 

The company had said that it is committed to bring its one-dose COVID-19 vaccine to India. A Johnson & Johnson India spokesperson said in a statement that on August 5, 2021, Johnson & Johnson Pvt Ltd applied to the Government of India for an EUA for its one-dose COVID-19 vaccine.

At present, a massive vaccination campaign is being conducted in India with the help of Covaxin, Covishield and Russian vaccine Sputnik-V. With its approval, now another vaccine has been added to the world’s largest vaccination campaign. Covaccine, Covishield and Sputnik-V are all three double-dose vaccines. With their help, more than 50 crore doses have been given in a country with a population of about 130 crores.
