Sony’s Xperia 1 IV has in the news for some time, although the launch date of the phone was not confirm. Now Sony has officially announced a launch event this month where we can expect to see the flagship Sony Xperia 1 IV. Sony has shared a teaser video confirming that the brand will hold a launch event on May 11 in Japan at 4 PM (12:30 PM in India). While the company has not clearly mentioned the exact product that it will be releasing at the event, the teaser video hints at a flagship Xperia phone.

This flagship phone is most likely to come from the Sony Xperia 1 IV. The Xperia 1 IV is also expect to offer premium specifications. The smartphone recently passed the Geekbench certification and it scored 1204 in the single-core department and 3352 in the multi-core department. Its model number is XQ-CT54 and it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. It has 12GB RAM and has Android 12 OS.

Although the design is yet to officially confirmed, the concept renders of the phone have revealed by LetsGoDigital. The device has a 6.5-inch display with 21: 9 aspect ratio. It is expect to come with 120Hz refresh rate and 4K resolution. It will have Gorilla Glass Victus protection and HDR support.

The phone is said to come with a ZEISS branded sensor. It is expect to feature a triple camera system with the inclusion of ultra-wide and telephoto sensors. The phone is expect to come with a side-facing fingerprint scanner and a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.
