The Taliban which have been condemned internationally for the harsh enforcement of their interpretation of Islamic Sharia law, which has resulted in the brutal treatment of Afgans, must have to follow the true Sharia law. Jammu and Kashmir’s Peoples Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti said, if Taliban wants to govern Afghanistan, must follow the true sharia law (Islamic Law), which ensures the rights of women, children, and elderly.
“Taliban has come to ahead as a reality and controlling Afghanistan, they banned activities and media, paintings, photography, and movies that depicted people or other living things. They also prohibited girls and young women from attending school, banned women from working jobs outside of healthcare. Even the male doctors were prohibited from treating women. And required that women be accompanied by a male relative and wear a burqa at all times when in public. If women broke certain rules, they are publicly whipped or executed. Taliban took over Kabul on August 15 and on Tuesday and disclose a hardline provisional government led by Mullah Mohammad Hasan Akhund.
Taliban image as in power was of unfavorable in the term of human rights. Now according to the statement of Former Chief Minister Of Jammu & Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti, if Taliban wants to take control over the Afghanistan, they have to follow the true sharia law, which permits and gives guarantee of women rights, children and elder peoples in the Quran.
According to the statement of Ms. Mufti Taliban should shun the hardline interpretation of Islam and Sharia if it wants to do business with the international community. “Otherwise it will make matters difficult for the people of Afghanistan,” Ms. Mufti added. She also talks about the example of governance set by Prophet Muhammad in Madina. In her statement she stated that Taliban should set an example for the world. They should take the example of governance strategies of Prophet Muhammad in Madina.
