The third wave in the country can come due to this variant. So far, more than 40 cases have been reported infected with this variant, in which the maximum number of cases are in Maharashtra. Medical experts say that Delta Plus is the ‘Variant of Concern’. At present, cases of delta plus variant are not only in three states of Kerala, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. These are being found in other states as well, but they are being found in a scattered way. So far, 21 patients have been found in Maharashtra, 6 in Madhya Pradesh, 3 in Kerala, 1 in Punjab, 3 in Tamil Nadu and 1-1 in Andhra Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab.

According to the Health Ministry, all the variants of the Delta are VOC (Variant of concern). There are 205 cases of the Delta Plus variant in the world, with more than half of the cases in the US and UK. For the first time this variant was reported on June 11. That too Delta Plus was revealed through the old April 5 sample of Maharashtra. There are about 40 cases of delta variants in the country, so far more than 45 thousand genome sequencing has been done.

During the press briefing, Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan told that Delta Plus variant is presently in 9 countries – UK, US, Japan, Russia, India, Portugal, Switzerland, Nepal and China. He said that a letter has written to the states asking how to deal with the Delta Plus variant. We do not want the Delta Plus variant to go ahead. Experts believe that the Delta Plus variant can cause the third wave of corona in the country.
Susceptibility can be changed through vaccine
NITI Aayog member VK Paul said that the ‘new wave of corona’ comes because the virus is circulating. In such a situation, if the virus changes form then there is a problem. It is difficult to predict about this. We can change susceptibility through vaccines. If we do not give a chance to the virus, then there will be no problem. In many countries up to four waves have come. There is no rule regarding Corona Web, nothing can said with certainty about it.
