The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in Delhi-NCR, West Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh today. Due to this there may be a big drop in the temperature and the weather may remain pleasant for the next few days. The department estimates that apart from the areas of NCR, districts like Aligarh, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Garhmukteshwar, Bulandshahr, Hathras and Muthra of UP will also receive heavy rains. Apart from this, the weather can also take a turn in some districts of Rajasthan adjoining Haryana and UP.

With this, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a “yellow” alert for Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. A ‘green’ alert has  issued for Friday.
