TVS Apache RTR 165 RP : TVS Motor Company on Thursday announced the launch of Apache RTR 165 RP motorcycle under its Race Performance (RP) series. The company has fixed the ex-showroom price of this new motorcycle at Rs 1.45 lakh. Also, the company will make only 200 units of it. The TVS RP series draws inspiration from the brand’s racing lineage which will brought to the TVS Apache series of motorcycles. With the Apache RTR 165 RP being the first of the collection lot.

The TVS Apache RTR 165 RP is claimed to be a powerful machine with an advanced 164.9 cc single-cylinder 4 valve engine. This engine generates 19.2 PS at 10,000 rpm and 14.2 Nm of torque at 8,750 rpm. This engine is mated to a 5-speed super-sleek gearbox, which gives precise and powerful riding experience to the customers.

To deliver best-in-segment performance. The TVS Apache RTR 165 RP gets a new cylinder head with 35 percent increase in intake and twin electrode spark plugs. The two-wheeler maker has incorporated 15 percent larger valves in the new model, controlled by high-lift high-duration cams and dual spring actuators for raceier engine performance.

The motorcycle also gets a revised bore stroke ratio of 1.37 allowing free-raving till the redline. There is also a new dome piston for higher compression ratio. All these factors contribute to the performance and riding experience of a race performance motorcycle.

TVS Apache RTR 1165 RP gets a new headlamp assembly where the Signature Front Position Lamp (FPL) works simultaneously for low and high beam operations. The motorcycle is equip with a 240 mm rear disc brake, which is claim to a first in the segment.
