Vice President Venkaiah Naidu on Friday appealed to all the states to implement the New Education Policy 2020.

Actually, the Vice President Venkaiah Naidu is on a two-day visit to Sikkim. On Friday, he said that the NEP 2020 lays special emphasis on vocational, pre-primary and primary education, improving the quality of teaching, creative use of technology and flexibility and excellence in higher studies.

Vice President Venkaiah Naidu’s appeal to the states

Vice President Venkaiah Naidu on Friday appealed to all the states to implement the New Education Policy 2020. He said that the new education policy is the demand of the 21st century. Therefore, it should implemented as soon as possible, so that reforms can done in the field of education. He laid the foundation stone of Kangchenjunga State University in Tarku, South Sikkim virtually from Samman Bhawan in the state capital. State Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang was also present on the occasion. During this, the Vice President also praised the efforts to implement the new education policy in the state.

Keeping the data of All India Survey, the Vice President said that

It is the result of the hard work of the Chief Minister that today 75.08 percent people are taking higher education in the state. Speaking at the inauguration of Kangchenjunga University, the Vice President said that very soon Sikkim would emerge as the center of education in the Northeast. On this occasion, the Vice President interacted with a group of students. All these students were trap in Ukraine, who have brought to India through Operation Ganga.
