Japanese automaker Yamaha has showcased the new 2022 XSR900 motorcycle for the international markets. The new sports bike has been introduced with many updates to the exterior as well as the inside. The bike has been updated with a new aluminum frame which has made the bike lighter than before. The company claims that the handling of the bike has improved.
It is being told that the new aluminum frame provides more strength. Apart from this, the company has also changed the wheelbase of the new bike which is already longer. While the headstock has been upgraded for sportier and more responsive steering on the bike.
Bike look and design.
Talking about the exteriors, the design and look of the bike is inspired from the 1970s. There is a relatively wide handlebar with golden front forks and wheels. The new bike gets a new fuel tank and the tail section remains the same. With the latest update, the bike also gets a full LED lighting package.

Engine and power.
The newly updated bike gets a bigger 889cc engine. This engine replaces the previous 846 cc engine. Apart from more displacement, this engine generates 4 bhp more power which is now 117.3 bhp.
Braking and Suspension.
Apart from the updated powertrain, the braking setup has also been updated with a Brembo radial master cylinder and adjustable levers. In terms of suspension, the bike continues to use fully adjustable KYB gold anodized forks and an adjustable KYB monoshock as before. For 2022, the bike gets a new 3.5-inch TFT screen that replaces the round LCD unit found in the previous model.
Safety features and colours.
Some of the key rider aids and safety features of the bike include four ride modes, lean angle sensitive traction control as well as slide and wheelie controls. The bike has been introduced in two color options – Legend Blue and Midnight Black.
