For this, the company has launched a new feature – Zomato Market. Zomato users can avail grocery delivery through their app by visiting the Zomato Market section available on the home screen. In addition to grocery delivery, Jomato has also extended Zomato Gold membership for two months at no charge.

Deepinder Goyal, CEO and founder of the company, told via a Blog, “We have started grocery deliveries to more than 80 cities across India to help supply essentials.” The company will do everything possible to ensure that there is no problem with the essential goods. Explain that Zomato is also offering home delivery facilities for dairy products in several states as well as grocery. For this, the district administration in Ferozepur has made Zomato Toyup with large grocery stores and dairies in the city. Swiggy also started home delivery of essential goods
Like Zomato, competing app Swiggy has even begun to delivering grocery to its customers. The company has Swiggy stores available to deliver groceries and other essential household items since February 2019. ShopClues and Paytm have also started providing groceries through their platforms to help people avoid getting out of the house due to the epidemic.
Online orders have fallen by 70 per cent
