Uttar Pradesh Police’s Special Task Force (STF) on Monday arrested three people, including the main accused in the “Anamika Shukla” scam case. Police identified Pushpendra Singh alias Raj alias Sushil alias Guruji posted as assistant teacher in Farrukhabad as the primary accused. Others along with him are Anand, a district coordinator in the office of Basic Education Officer (BSA) in Jaunpur and Ramnath, senior clerk in the BSA office in Hardoi.

Babli claimed that Singh and his brother took Rs 3 lakh to be appointed in the name of Anamika Shukla at Kasturba Gandhi Vidyalaya in the district.
In a press release, the STF claimed that Singh had told investigators that he had used misnames and fake documents to get the job. She told the police that she had received Anamika Shukla’s educational documents from Anand in 2019. According to the police, Anand had documents from people applying to the KGBV in Jaunpur. He shared the documents as Shukla, an applicant in 2017. Did not attend counseling session due to health problems. He also received counseling calls from KGBV in Sultanpur and Lucknow.

The STF said that Singh used Shukla’s documents to provide jobs to the people of the three districts. Appointed at Aligarh, Babli, Kanpur countryside. Babli’s sister-in-law Sarita got jobs in Prayagraj, Deepti in Varanasi and Priya in Kasganj.
A police officer said, Pushpendra took Rs 2 lakh from each candidate for the appointments. Later, he handed over the documents to Ramnath, who used them in Saharanpur, Baghpat, Rae Bareli, Amethi and Ambedkar Nagar, the STF said.
According to the police, Singh told them that they obtained two women in Jaunpur and Azamgarh using fake documents of one Preity Yadav. Who applied for employment at the Kasturba Gandhi Vidyalaya in Jaunpur in 2017.
