A 40-day Holi festival started in Vrindavan with the banning of Basant Panchami on Tuesday. Gulal fiercely attacked Banke Bihari temple. This is the first festival of Vrindavan after Corona, when the number of devotees is more than the previous Basant Panchami. Last year, Corona had arrived in the country before Holi. Even then Holi was celebrate normally in Braj.
More devotees came from last year –
Over 10 lakh devotees visited Braj during Holi last year, while there were 30-40 thousand devotees in Vrindavan on Basant Panchami. This time the figure has reached 80 thousand to one lakh. Secondly, after the start of the new year in Vrindavan, the cases of corona have been negligible.
