MG ZS EV

MG Motor launched the facelift version of its only electric car MG ZS EV (MG ZS EV) in India in February this year. The 2021 MG ZS EV packs a better battery with a certified range of 419 kms. It generates maximum output of 143 PS and peak torque of 350 Nm. This electric car can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in less than 7 seconds. The ex-showroom price of 2021 MG ZS EV starts at Rs 20.99 Lakh.
Jaguar I-Pace

The second electric car to be launched in India this year was Jaguar Land Rover. The British luxury carmaker launched the I-Pace electric SUV in India in March at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.06 crore. The 2021 I-Pace electric SUV can run up to 480 km on a full charge. It has a 90 kWh lithium-ion battery pack onboard that takes 45 minutes to charge up to 80 per cent via a 100kW fast charging unit. This electric car generates 395 bhp power and 696 Nm peak torque and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.8 seconds.

Audi e-tron

German automobile giant Audi has been the only carmaker to launch more than one electric car in India this year. In July, Audi introduced three models of its e-tron (e-tron) family – e-tron 50 (e-tron 50), e-tron 55 (e-tron 55) and e-tron Sportback 55 (e-tron). Sportback 55) was launched. They were launch at an introductory ex-showroom price of 99.99 lakhs. The Audi e-tron 55 and Audi e-tron Sportback 55 draw power from a 95kW battery while the e-tron 50 draws power from a 71kW battery. This electric car generates power of 408 hp and torque of 664 Nm. The car claims to accelerate to 100 kmph in 5.7 seconds.
Tata Tigor EV

The country’s leading automaker Tata Motors (Tata Motors) launched the facelift version of its electric car Tigor EV (Tigor EV). Tata Motors launched the 2021 Tigor EV in the month of August at an initial ex-showroom price of Rs 11.99 lakh. Due to which it became the cheapest electric car in the market. It is also the first EV to be tested by Global NCAP as it has achieved a 4-star rating in crash tests. The electric motor of 2021 Tigor EV generates power of 73.75 hp and torque of 170 Nm. The Tigor EV has an ARAI certified range of 306 kms on a single charge. The car comes with an IP67 rated 26 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Its battery can charged up to 80 percent in about an hour with a fast charger.
BMW iX

BMW also joined the race for the luxury segment electric vehicle in December this year. The German carmaker has launched its flagship electric car iX in India for an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.16 crore. The BMW iX all-electric SUV comes with a 5-star safety rating by Euro NCAP. The 2021 BMW iX electric car generates power of 326 hp and peak torque of 630 Nm. This car can give a range of up to 414 km on a full charge. This electric SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.1 seconds.
