Winter has knocked in North India including Delhi NCR, UP, Bihar, Haryana, Rajasthan and Punjab. Not only this, it may intensify further in the coming days. According to the Meteorological Department, on December 16, the weather has become cooler due to scattered rain in some areas of Haryana and Punjab and snowfall in the hilly areas. Snowfall is also expected in Uttarakhand on Friday. Not only this, the havoc of cold wave can be seen for the next few days. Especially on the occasion of Christmas and New Year, winter can become more intense. The reason for this is that there is a possibility of rain and snowfall in the Himalayan region on 22 and 23 December. This means that severe cold may continue for the next 15 days.
The Meteorological Department has forecast that there may be rain on December 24 as well. Apart from this, there may be snowfall in the hilly areas. However, this can bring happiness to the tourists, who want to go to the hilly areas to enjoy the snowfall on the occasion of New Year. The minimum temperature in the country’s capital Delhi was recorded at 8.7 degrees Celsius on Thursday morning. On Friday also the temperature remained close to 8 degree Celsius. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has also given the possibility of rain with clouds here. After this, there is a possibility of cold and increase here.

The temperature reached minus in Shimla.
Meanwhile, the mercury in Hills Queen Shimla has gone down to minus. Shimla’s temperature dropped to -0.2 degree Celsius on the night of 15 December. Apart from this, the temperature dropped to -7.9 and -6 degree Celsius in Keylong, Kalpa in Himachal. Even though the havoc of this winter, which is rocking and snowing, is still in the hilly areas, but in the next few days, its effect will be seen across the country through cold wave. Pipeline burst due to freezing of water at many places in Shimla. Apart from this, the water of lakes, ponds etc. has completely frozen in the higher areas. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of snowfall and rain once again in many areas of Himachal including Shimla. Due to this, winter may increase further in many areas of North India.
